Warranty Policy

BartoMods Limited Lifetime Warranty

BartoMods products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Coverage applies to the original purchaser for as long as they own the product and is not transferable.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers product failures caused by manufacturing defects, including:

  • LEDs, internal electronics, or other components that fail under normal operating conditions due to a manufacturing defect.
  • Defective factory wiring, connections, or solder joints.
  • Defects in materials, assembly, or welds that affect the product’s intended function.
  • Water intrusion caused by a defective factory seal when the product has been installed and used within its advertised water-resistance rating.
  • Premature finish failure caused by a manufacturing defect rather than wear, exposure, improper care, or physical damage.

Coverage applies when the issue results from a defect in the product itself. Each claim is evaluated based on the reported problem and available supporting information.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Improper installation: Damage caused by incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, improper grounding, incorrect mounting, overtightening, or failure to follow installation instructions.
  • Electrical damage: Failures caused by voltage outside the product’s specified range, power surges, short circuits outside the product, or incompatible power supplies and controllers.
  • Physical damage: Damage caused by collisions, impacts, road debris, scraping, crushing, pulling, or pinching wires.
  • Misuse or neglect: Damage caused by abuse, improper maintenance, improper storage, or operation outside the product’s stated specifications.
  • Water or chemical damage outside rated conditions: Damage caused by exposure beyond the product’s advertised water-resistance rating, harsh chemicals, or pressure washing that exceeds its rated protection.
  • Normal wear and cosmetic aging: Scratches, chips, ordinary fading, oxidation, surface corrosion, or other deterioration resulting from regular use and environmental exposure rather than a manufacturing defect.
  • Damage caused by modifications or repairs: Failures resulting from cutting, drilling, disassembly, altered wiring, or other modifications or repairs. A modification, third-party part, or independent repair does not by itself void coverage for an unrelated manufacturing defect.
  • Lost or stolen items: Missing products or components that were lost or stolen after delivery.

Warranty Resolution

If a product is determined to have a covered defect, BartoMods will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective item at no charge.
  • Replace the defective item with the same or a comparable product at no charge.
  • Issue store credit equal to the defective item’s value if an exact replacement is unavailable.

For products sold as a kit, warranty service may be limited to the affected component when replacing the entire kit is unnecessary.

How to Submit a Claim

Contact BartoMods through our website and provide:

  • Your order number or other proof of purchase.
  • A description of the issue and when it began.
  • Clear photos or videos showing the problem and, when relevant, the installation and wiring.

We may request reasonable troubleshooting or a product inspection to determine the cause of the failure. Please contact us for return instructions before shipping an item back.

Warranty Period & Shipping

Coverage continues for as long as the original purchaser owns the product.

If an item must be shipped back to BartoMods more than 30 days after the purchase date, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. International customers may also incur additional shipping charges.

Any applicable shipping charges will be explained during the claim process.

Installation & Related Expenses

This warranty covers repair, replacement, or store credit for the defective product as described above. It does not cover removal, reinstallation, diagnostic charges, or third-party labor expenses, except where required by applicable law.

Third-Party Products

Products sold by BartoMods that are manufactured by other brands are not covered under the BartoMods limited lifetime warranty. These products are subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty terms.

We can help you contact the manufacturer, but that brand determines its coverage period, claim process, and warranty resolution.

Your Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Purchases remain subject to the warranty terms provided at the time of sale. Later policy updates do not reduce existing warranty coverage.
